Miranda Nation’s original six-part drama/mystery series PLAYING GRACIE DARLING, starring Morgana O’Reilly, Celia Pacquola and Rudi Dharmalingam premiered on Paramount+ in 2025, produced by Curio Pictures. Created and written by Miranda, she also serves as Executive Producer alongside Rachel Gardner and Jo Porter.
Additionally in 2025, Allen & Unwin published Miranda’s debut novel, New Skin.
Miranda’s critically acclaimed debut feature as writer/director – UNDERTOW starring Laura Gordon and Olivia DeJonge – premiered at Melbourne International Film Festival and Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2018, released in cinemas in early 2020 and received a 2020 AACTA Award nomination for Best Lead Actress for Laura Gordon.
In 2019, Miranda worked as Director’s Attachment to director Jocelyn Moorhouse on the six-part drama series STATELESS for Matchbox/Dirty Films/NBCU. She also worked as Director’s Attachment to writer/director Cate Shortland on her feature film BERLIN SYNDROME in 2015, the same year she was a semi-finalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. Her short film PERCEPTION was produced through Screen Australia’s highly competitive Springboard Program and won the Dendy Award for Best Short Film at the 2013 Sydney Film Festival.
Miranda is currently writing her second novel and has a project in development with See-Saw Films.
