HLA welcomes writer Grace Chapple.
A writer for stage and screen, Grace’s NIDA graduate play NEVER CLOSER was met with critical acclaim in Belvoir’s 2022 25A program, and has been shortlisted for the Griffin Award, the Rodney Seaborn Award, longlisted for Theatre503’s International Playwriting Award, a was a finalist in the Shane & Catherine Brennan Playwriting Award.
Grace’s writing explores contemporary issues through a retrospective lens. She is drawn to love stories and comedies with tragically authentic outcomes.
Grace is currently developing a new musical, PAPER STARS, based on the story of how PL Travers wrote Mary Poppins.
