Global Creatures has announced the initial casting for MURIEL’S WEDDING THE MUSICAL! Book writer PJ Hogan has updated his own screenplay from his international cult classic 1994 motion picture Muriel’s Wedding. MURIEL’S WEDDING THE MUSICAL is directed by Simon Phillips, with costumes by Gabriela Tylesova, and will run at Leicester’s Curve Theatre from 10 April to 10 May 2025.   Read more at West End Best Friend

Disney+ announced Australian original LAST DAYS OF THE SPACE AGE will premiere exclusively on Disney+ Wednesday, 2 October 2024. Featuring the talents of directors Rachel Ward and Kriv Stenders, as well as writer Alice Addison, the 8-episode series follows three families in a tight-knit coastal community who find their marriages, friendships and futures put to the test. Deadline reports that Justin Kurzel‘s The Order made its world premiere at the 81st Venice Film Festival, with the Sala Grande audience giving the competition title a nine-minute, 23-second ovation.
