Nina is an award-winning television director known for shaping grounded, truthful performances, character-focused camera work, and a kind environment on set.
A Film and Television graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, Nina’s early short films WOOF! and MWAH premiered at Flickerfest and the Melbourne International Film Festival, as well as Palm Springs, Munich, New Orleans, St Kilda, Perth Revelation, Human Rights & Arts Festival and Byron Bay, where she was awarded Young Australian Filmmaker of the Year. WOOF! also earned her Best Editing in an Australian Short Film award at Flickerfest.
Nina made her television debut on the Netflix children’s series THE INBESTIGATORS, followed by episodes of the ABC anthology SUMMER LOVE. She later joined Jocelyn Moorhouse as director’s attachment on BOY SWALLOWS UNIVERSE for Netflix before directing the network drama PAPER DOLLS for Paramount + as well as the concluding episodes of ABC’s PLANET LULIN which earned her a nomination for Best Direction at the Australian Directors Guild Awards.
In 2025 Nina completed her third short film BUBBA, which had its world premiere at the opening night of Rooftop Film Festival in New York. Nina also directed episodes of the Emmy Award winning HEARTBREAK HIGH S3 for Netflix and the new series DOG PARK for the ABC.
