Warren Coleman
Warren is a writer, director and actor who graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art
in 1979.
Writing for film, television, radio and print Warren has seen much success. Some of his
many credits for film and TV include RED STAR, which was short listed for the New York
Dramatists Playwright Awards and THE CASTANET CLUB - A MOVIE YOU CAN DANCE
TO in which he also performed. Warren’s other acting credits include THE MAN WHO SUED
GOD, BAD COP BAD COP, and Judy Davis’ STC Production THE SCHOOL FOR
SCANDAL. Directing credits include THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP for the State Theatre
Company of South Australia, JACK (Sacred Fools Theater, Los Angeles), BUZZ in which he
also starred (Belvoir St Theatre), TALL DOG AND THE UNDER POPPY (The Studio,
Sydney Opera House), EFFIE….JUST QUIETLY (SBS TV), THE VENETIAN TWINS (State
Theatre Company of South Australia) and Associate Director on the hit show RENT. Warren
was also the Australian director of THE REAL LIVE BRADY BUNCH SHOW, and was also
the touring director through the USA.
Warren is currently working as part of the Directors’ Unit on Kennedy Miller’s new animation
feature film HAPPY FEET which Warren also co-wrote starring Robin Williams, Elijah Wood
and Brittany Murphy.
