Opera Australia’s LA TRAVIATA opens in March

For three weeks only in March 2012 Opera Australia will perform La Traviata on a shimmering stage, afloat on Sydney Harbour.

The production will be directed by internationally-acclaimed director Francesca Zambello, and designed by Brian Thomson.

This production features a forty-piece orchestra, magnificent sets, beautiful costumes, dazzling effects, and a 9-metre chandelier suspended above the purpose-built floating stage. The Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and city skyline provide the spectacular backdrop.
